Sarah Neitzel, D.P.M., grew up in a small town in Northern California, where she was actively involved in her local 4-H and FFA chapters for almost 10 years.
Before becoming a podiatrist, she attended Washington State University (WSU) studying Zoology and Primatology while working in the Center for Orthopedic Research assisting in research for the WSU Veterinary College. Her time spent at WSU made her realize her heart would always live with the Pacific Northwest.
After graduating from WSU, and some work on a graduate degree, Dr. Neitzel decided to pursue medicine as a career. She obtained a scholarship to attend the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University where she served as Academic Vice President and President of her medical class. She graduated with her doctorate in 2012 and attended residency training in Chicago at Swedish Covenant Hospital.
Dr. Neitzel served as the program’s Chief Resident and was active in numerous academic and resident training committees within the hospital. During residency, she received extensive training in reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot surgery, sports medicine/athletic injuries, and limb salvage.
She also has specialized training in treating pediatric foot conditions, where her love for working with this specific population led her as far as Mexico with the Flying Doctors of Mercy to work with an underserved group of children afflicted with genetic foot deformities.
Dr. Neitzel has her office in Silverdale, where she shares space with Kitsap General Surgery and remains part of a group of independent physicians within Kitsap.
Dr. Neitzel has been in practice for 7 years and is a well-known expert in her field with a record of excellence. She chose to focus her training and practice on Minimally Invasive Surgery and is pleased to offer her patients surgical and nonsurgical treatments that help keep her patients on their feet and able to enjoy life.
Her practice emphasizes custom-designed treatment plans for her patients that highlight a comprehensive approach. For this reason, when surgery is necessary, Dr. Neitzel is able to offer surgical options with minimal incisions (2-5mm) and significantly decreased recovery times using her Minimally Invasive Surgical techniques. Her approach is not what you find in typical, high volume offices–in every case, she puts a strong emphasis on education and communication for better patient outcomes.
Voted as a “2019 Central Kitsap Best Physician” Finalist, Dr. Neitzel and her podiatry practice in Silverdale, Peninsula Podiatry, are top-ranked within the community. She is currently accepting new patients and serves patients in Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend, Port Ludlow, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Gig Harbor. Dr. Neitzel’s approach to her practice is one of compassion, communication, and offering the best podiatrist services in Kitsap County.

Dr. Neitzel is absolutely thrilled to be back in the Pacific Northwest with her family on the Kitsap Peninsula. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, fishing, swimming, and being outdoors.
